The person writing down the name may not have had a good understanding of Maori names or Marys mother may have died when she was very young and she never really knew her mothers name. There is the possibility that Mary was asked her mothers married name. On Marys death certificate it says that she married Donald in Auckland. It also says her mother was Kikeri Halbert and her father was Thomas Halbert a Sea Captain. Once again there is no mention of a middle name for Thomas Halbert.
Saturday morning came faster than we wanted but we were all stoked that it didn't matter that the clock still read the same hour it did when we laid down, today was the day for Eurokracy 2014. As soon as we got on the road, we knew we were heading in the right direction. As we travelled the multi-lane highways every on ramp you passed more and more Volkswagen's, Audi's and BMW's joined the flow of everyday traffic.
