With the iPhone dominating the smart phone market it can be easy to forget there are other phones out there with similar (and maybe better) features. This is a response to Mighty Mom's comment above regarding trying to herd cats. Have you ever seen a pack of cats running wild in the streets? In a movie, perhaps, or on a nature show? I reckon not. Cats don't travel in packs. Dogs, on the other hand, wander the streets in packs all the time. What makes pack-leadership an effective technique with dogs won't cut the kittie-mustard with cats. Felines do respond well to classic operant conditioning techniques popularized by Skinner, and I've seen cats go through greatly complicated circus performances in order to get the reward cheese at the end of the conditioning tunnel.
After Barcelona (which was a cool city to see, but humid and busy), we headed back to be in Madrid for a couple of days before we headed to Italy. Right before we got to Cinque Terre, we flew into Pisa. We stayed the night at a nice little hostel called Gate 52, which was run by Rocco. The next morning we walked about 3 miles to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was pretty cool to see and it really is leaning! It was built on soft ground, so as they continued to build it, it continued to sink on one side. They stopped building it for awhile to allow time for the ground to settle. Then they corrected the tilt by building one side taller than the other. Interesting. It was neat to see.
And of course, the Moors also built up from and utilized Greek and Roman parts of human progress and development, as did this modern civilization we live in. The Greeks got it from the Egyptians, and the Romans acquired it from the Greeks-So? But they, the Moors, also added more to that by coming up with their own solutions, methodologies, inventions that suited them in that era and historical time-line. This too, has nothing to much with the Hub above, and you have not gone to the more hard-core points that have been stated in this Hub.
Elsewhere, life goes on and the gang that was fleetingly gathered in episode one has already disbanded. Laura and Mad Sweeney chase after Shadow, continuing their begrudging relationship along the way, Mr. Nancy and Wednesday take a scenic route so that Wednesday can further his enigmatic plans, Mr. World confronts Bilquis, who remains neutral in the fight of the gods, Technical Boy continues his search for Media, and Salim continues to pine after The Jinn.
Dean gets a glimpse into how life would be if the demon had never killed his mother and if the Winchesters hadn't devoted their lives to killing the evil that walks the Earth. In this life, Sam is in law school and engaged to Jessica, his mother is alive, and he is leading a normal life. However, when a strange woman begins following him around and tells him that each of the people that Dean has saved has died, Dean has to decide if he wants to stay in this life or return to his life of hunting.
